It’s 1:30am and I can’t sleep. This isn’t a good thing at all since I have to be up in four hours.
I’m not sure how many of you out there have a spouse who is a violent sleeper, but if you don’t, be thankful. I spend a lot of these nights on the sofa, but tonight sleep is eluding me altogether.
I love my husband, don’t get me wrong, but on nights like this, I just want to smother him with his pillow.
We have all heard how well a soothing cup of Chamomile tea works when you need to wind down. This time honored sleep friendly tea is the inspiration for this late night cocktail of the day entry.
“A cup of tea would restore my normality.”

I think I’ll call this pretty little drink ‘Bed of Blossoms’.
You will need: 1 Chamomile tea bag of your choice (I used Tazo Tea’s Calm Chamomile) 1oz Saint Germain Elderflower Liqueur, 1/2oz Gin (I used Hendrick’s), 7oz of boiling water, 1 tsp of Manuka honey, and bar bitters
In a coffee mug, steep your tea bag in the boiling water to preference, removing the bag completely when the tea is to your liking. Stir in your Saint Germain, and your honey, making sure you mix it thoroughly. Finally, shake in one or two drops of the bar bitters to finish. Enjoy hot.
Optional: Garnish with a rose petal or some fresh rosemary, right in the mug for a little added flavor.
Yawn…
Sweet Dreams!

I love drinking some hot tea before bed, it usually puts me right to sleep! Which is good because my boyfriend snores very loud haha!

One of my favorites too! This was the first thing that came to me for a quote when I decided to make a cocktail recipe post involving tea!
