Be Thankful Every Day

Be

Here in the United States, it’s Thanksgiving.

This is a day that we give thanks for everything in our lives. It has some traditional roots dating back to the establishment of our country, and while you may or may not agree with these, today is a day that we get together with our family and friends and remember how lucky we are to have everything that we possess.

Let this be the start of a daily ritual. Starting this year, I challenge each and every one of you, from this Thanksgiving to the next, to wake up each day and remind yourself of one thing you are thankful for. Small or big. Anything, as long as you are truly thankful for it.

This can be a personal daily affirmation, or you can give thanks out loud in whatever way you choose.

Today, please be safe. Take care of yourself, and fortify for the holiday season ahead. Enjoy whatever you have planned and the people that surround you. Remember those less fortunate, and if you have the chance to brighten their day, please do so. There are people near you right now that are thankful simply that they got to wake up today, so never forget all the things that make you fortunate.

Today, I am thankful for you. Thankful that you are reading my words, and that you allow me to share my life with you.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Every Day

    1. I think if there isn’t a similar holiday you should just make one. Set aside a day every year where you cook a big meal, and invite your family and friends over to celebrate all you are to one another. After all, Our Thanksgiving may be a celebration of the ‘bounty’ brought to this place and ‘shared’ with others, but really, today, what I want to celebrate is the bounty I have in my life that is friends, family, love, and inspiration. That can be celebrated at any time, in any place, by anyone. All you have to do is make it happen.

  1. I’ve learned to appreciate the things in my life and do my best to wake up thankful everyday. What a great reminder to do so! It’s so easy to get caught up in the day to day, and become complacent. Thinking about what were thankful for really puts things into perspective. Thankful for your blog and the vulnerability you show and fun you bring!

    Cheers xx
